One Lovely Blog Award

    Review By: Aislinn Pearce Genre:

I was nominated for the "One Lovely Blog Award" by Vanessa Wester, an amazingly talented and sweet author. You can see her post here

You can follow Vanessa on Twitter here. Check out her debut novel, Hybrid for free on Amazon or Smashwords and meet my favorite book boyfriend, Steven. You can read my review on Hybrid, Complications, and Return.

The premise of the award is to do a few things as a blogger:

    1. Share 7 facts about yourself.
    2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
    3. Nominate 15 blogs you like, less if you can't think of 15.

Just because you're nominated you don't have to feel obligated to participate, but I think it's a beautiful and fun way to "pay it forward" and learn something about some of your favorite bloggers at the same time!

    Seven Facts About Me

Fact One: I was born 2 months premature and spent the first month of my life in the NICU (Neonatal ICU) at the hospital in the late 1970's and I drove the nurses insane by "popping" the air mattress I was on with my nails and setting off the "no heartbeat" alarm. I have been a "fighter" since birth. After I came home at a little over a month old, I weighed only 3 lbs 14 ounces and even doll clothes were too big for me at the time.

Fact Two: I was born and raised with no siblings until I was 16 years old in Muskegon, Michigan. I left home at 16 and have been on my own since.

Fact Three: In addition to blogging in my spare time I currently work full time in the IT field for a fortune 500 company, and go to school full time. I just graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Wellness from the accelerated degree plan. I am currently working towards a Master's of Science in Health Education. In addition, I raise two small children (5 & 7) and my nephew (18). I wear many hats every day!

Fact Four: I've been an avid reader since I was 4 years old. My kindergarten teacher didn't get a chance to read "James and the Giant Peach" and got tired of me asking her to read it to the class, so she told me to read it myself one day, and I did - the the entire class.

Fact Five: My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing, and the first time I saw it I was in love.

Fact Six: I love almost all genres of books, but have always had a special place in my heart for paranormal. One of my favorite series from a well-known author is The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice.

Fact Seven: I miss living near the lakes, or any large body of water really. I grew up a five minute drive from Lake Michigan and Muskegon Lake and feel most at peace when the wind is in my hair and I can listen to the waves. Now that I live in Georgia (near Atlanta), my times to get outside to water are a lot fewer and farther between. I used to swim all the time as a child.
